When equipment is changed out, we go above and beyond. “Industry Standard” is for entry-level companies; your equipment will give you more years of comfort and enhance the look of your home when installed with quality, even if your new furnace in the attic is never seen by anyone but yourself.
We know our last job is how we are remembered by you.
Our goal is growth through long-term customers

| Condenser or Heat Pump (outdoor) |
 |
Purpose:
Sends refrigerant to indoor coil;
Transfers collected indoor heat to atmosphere; heat felt above the unit is heat being transferred from indoors.
Equipment efficiencies range from lowest 13 SEER to 20+ SEER. |
| |
|
| Evaporator Coil |
 |
The most unknown part of the A/C system. Located next to the furnace, the coil receives refrigerant from the condenser, collects heat from home as air passes through, leaving cooler air to continue back through duct. Also a critical part of the efficiencies. |
| |
|
| Furnace or Air Handler |
 |
This serves several purposes:
It is the brains for both cooling and heating, provides air in both cooling and heating, is also the heat source for heating. |
| |
|
Equipment affects the efficiencies of A/C and also comes in choices from standard to high heating efficiencies.
Whether it's changing one piece , the entire system, or installing a system where none has existed, we have several options for you, including financing.
Our primary interest is matching equipment to your unique set of interests and needs.

Equipment Change-Out
We offer serveral brands, which gives consumers options :
Although other brands might argue, Trane & Lennox are considered within the industry as the two brands with proven durability and consistently on the vanguard of technology.
Sherrell offers these and other brands because of consumer preferences and price point options.
We believe in all the above brands and each has their benefits: durability, low noise, dimensions, efficiencies, style, price, engineering, and comfort control effectiveness.
We are happy to listen to your needs and will help select the brand that fits your cooling and heating goals.
Installation
When changing out old equipment, a key consideration is selecting a contractor that guarantees their work and installs to the highest workmanship.
Let's face it; once the equipment comes out of the shipping box, it's up to the contractor to install to the manufacturer's specifications- the way it was designed.
At sherrell, we don't cut corners as some contractors may do to win a bid. We don't operate that way. 20 Years of business means we have many repeat customers. Our customers may not see all the steps we take, they just know when the job is done, it looks good and works right.
The things you will find satisfying to know about our installation :
All indoors installations :
- Drop cloths to protect floors
- Gas pipe extensions prevents gas leaks
- Mastic seal for air tightness ( air does leak from duct )
- Drain lines cleared and checked for proper drainage
- P trap installed where appropriate
- Self- locking flue to prevent rusting screws (health feature)
- Removal of equipment and all scrap from attic
Attic equipment :
- Metal cradle to support furnances and air handlers
- Proper hanging height for good condensate drainage
- No blanking protions of evaporator coils ( restricts airflow, lowers efficiencies and causes equipment damage )
Closet equipment :
- Seal around closet base
- Clean out under upflow furnace
- Evaporator coils sits down on furnace not transitioned
Outdoor Equipment :
- Level pad for new unit
- Protective casing for low voltage wiring ( no more weedeater cut wiring in mid summer )
- Proper disconnect and whip
- Crane service where needed
- Removal of old equipment and materials
- Since this is visible, it looks good to family and friends
